Our Staff …
Women's Health & Birth Center provides excellent family-centered care in the safest, most nurturing environment possible.
At the WHBC pregnancy is considered a normal condition, not an illness, and the midwives devote extra time to education and to accommodating the mother's personal needs and desires.
Our Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) — registered nurses with advanced training and board certification in pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecology — offer a more emotionally satisfying experience of pregnancy and childbirth without unnecessary technological intervention.
What is a Nurse-Midwife?
- A Nurse-Midwife is a registered nurse with at least one additional year of education in midwifery and women's health care.

- A Nurse-Midwife views birth as a normal process, not a medical procedure.
- A Nurse-Midwife trusts in the ability of the woman's body.
- A Nurse-Midwife offers care to healthy women and their newborns at home, in freestanding birth centers or in the hospital.

Why we love the Birth Center
|

I finished my student training here at the Women’s Health and Birth Center. Now, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to stay on as a new Nurse Midwife in the practice. I have had such wonderful experiences here already in this
extraordinary place. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special time in your life.

I chose to work at the Birth Center because I believe that birth is a natural and miraculous event that should be celebrated, and because I believe in peoples' right to actively participate in their healthcare. Here, each birth is a unique celebration of life. It makes me proud to work somewhere that focuses on providing family-centered, holisitic and truely personalized care.

Everyday I get to help families during one of the most important and momentous times in their lives. It is an honor to be a part of their journey into parenthood.

Working at the Birth Center has allowed me the opportunity to work as a team with many families to help them plan for the arrival of their new additions. Here at the WHBC I can help clients take control of their pregnancy and the birth of their new baby. Giving our clients the sense of empowerment that they rightfully deserve and possess is the best feeling.
